Description/Job Summary

The Lodge is seeking a full time Recovery Coach to be part of a dynamic recovery program in Bethlehem PA. The Lodge is a recovery program for adults with mental illness in Northampton County that provides affordable housing and a supportive environment designed to promote recovery, stability and the inherent ability to succeed. The Lodge is responsible for oversight and support of Cafe the Lodge, a vocational program for adults with mental illness in Bethlehem PA.  

The candidate we are seeking must:

  • Help members develop skills necessary to achieve success/satisfaction in the community
  • Provide support to members
  • Assist members with setting and attaining personal goals
  • Assist with monthly apartment checks
  • Assist with evacuation/safety drills
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Provide leisure and recreational activities
  • Accurately document interactions and support to consumers
  • Be familiar with all operations of the café including kitchen set-up, Point of Sale, barista, cooking  all menu items, closing of the café,
  • Be responsible for timely, appropriate responses to on-call needs of consumers and staff. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or a human services related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication, writing and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
  • Computer skills
  • Recovery focused
  • A valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation and active vehicle insurance
