Title: BA Therapist/Teacher's Aide (Bachelor Level)           Equivalent: Mental Health Worker
 
Job Summary: Contribute to clinical planning and intervention for partial hospitalization program clients. Consult with clinical team, educational staff, child's family and school, regarding treatment interventions and progress. Write daily progress notes in accordance with State and CBH guidelines in Avatar (EHR) Provide and participate in daily, structured programming for clients and will facilitate psycho-educational and counseling groups. Will attend weekly multidisciplinary case conference meetings and will contribute to discharge planning with clinical team. Complete all training and supervision requirements. This position reports to the Director of Assistant Director.
 
Responsibilities:

Maintain a caseload of assigned clients and perform all administrative tasks associated with this caseload, including but not limited to:
  • Documentation of daily progress in Avatar (EHR).
  • Provide and participate in daily, structured, milieuing for partial hospital clients under supervision of the Program Director and/or other Masters level clinicians.
  • Facilitate psycho-educational/counseling groups.
  • Actively assist/support classroom learning and educational goals for each child.
  • Manage clients using de-escalation and assist with physical management techniques
  • Progress and obstacles with implementing interventions will be communicated to their clinical team, with treatment team, classroom teacher, child psychiatrist
  • Complete all supervision requirements.
  • 20 hours of annual continuing education.
  • Adhere to assigned working hours.
  • Monitor clients during lunchroom and transitional times throughout the day.
  • Must have evidence of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
  • Must show evidence of having two or more years of paid work experience that involved direct contact with children and adolescents if a Bachelor's degree in any discipline is not listed above.
  • Must provide two (2) professional references prior to any direct contact with children served in the program.
  • Must agree to complete a criminal history, child abuse clearance, & FBI clearance upon hire and keep clearances current.
  • Must complete an orientation and training to both the  partial hospitalization program and Resources for Human Development within the first 90 days of hire.
  • Must complete the CBH mandatory trainings and First Aide/CPR within 90 days of hire.  
  • CBH mandatory trainings must be completed annually. First Aide/CPR must be kept current.
  • Must complete 20 total hours of training annually.
