RHD is seeking a full time, Staffing & Scheduling Manager to support the programs within the Southeastern PA region. The Staffing & Scheduling Manager ensures the program has the necessary workforce to execute IDD services to meet census requirements.This position is responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels for direct service professional (DSP) positions within the program. The Scheduling Manager will have excellent organizational skills to support administrative needs of the program, as well as the ability to uphold RHD values

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Contact staff to fill shifts for vacant positions, callouts and PTO coverage for the IDD Residential programs in Northeast PA.
  • Maintain the master schedule for all homes within the program in coordination with Unit Director, Assistant Unit Director and Administrative staff.
  • Input base schedules for newly hired employees and transfers between employee positions into master schedule.
  • Make technology recommendations that increase efficiency.
  • Update schedules to reflect employee leave and input coverage shifts for absences.
  • Maintain pool of on-call, temporary and current DSP staff used to fill shifts on a daily basis.
  • Monitor and track on-call staff availability, training and approved work sites.
  • Schedule site meetings and trainings in coordination with site supervisors or Assistant Unit Directors as necessary.
  • Update site schedules to reflect changes in the needs of the residents based on ISPs.
  • Provide onboarding and training to new on-call and temporary staff.
  • Run reports for use to monitor overtime and provide documentation to residential administrative staff to monitor expenses.
  • Identify and analyze trends of coverage issues and scheduling conflicts to streamline the procedures of how the master schedule is utilized.
  • Verify and assist in maintaining staff contacts information and training credentials.
  • Provide assistance to supervisors in identifying on-call and temporary staff transfers to part-time and full-time DSP roles within the program.
  • Collaborate with the Fiscal Department to create and maintain processes that ensure that staffs’ hours worked are vetted and correctly inputted.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources Department in the recruitment and retention of the on-call and temporary DSP pool.
  • Collaborate with the national investigations department so that open shifts due to suspensions are addressed, filled and communicated to all relevant supervisory staff.
  • Complete correspondence, generate reports, and create forms, etc. for assigned programs.
  • Manage transportation functions as needed for staff coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Minimum of five years related experience in scheduling, staffing or human resources

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
  • Must be detail oriented
