The ADR is responsible for ensuring the creation of an environment conducive to the provision of supports for adults supported by RHD, including providing supervision to ensure adherence to the program model and regulatory expectations. This job carries with it the obligation to respect the dignity and recognize the potential for growth of every individual who receives or provides services and supports, and to advocate for the rights of people we support. Duties include overseeing program operations, management of physical assets and the supervision of site supervisors as it pertains to program operations. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed.


  • Supervise Site Supervisors with regards to daily operations, supervision practices, implementation of consumer plans and documentation
  • Participate in hiring, orientation and progressive discipline if necessary
  • Document regular supervision and complete performance evaluations with Site Supervisors annually at minimum. Complete Individual Development plans for all supervised staff members.
  • Create an environment that empowers individuals through the development of skills and coordination of resources and supportive services
  • Model appropriate interactions and boundaries with consumers, staff and community members at all times
  • Participate in the development and updating of all policies, procedures and systems. Assess and report the efficacy of such systems to the program management team on an ongoing basis
  • Collaborate with other Assistant Directors for sharing of best practices and resources
  • Oversee implementation of clinical recommendations
  • Assist with opening new homes and transitioning consumers into, within and out of the program, adhering to regulatory expectations for such processes
  • Oversee the quality of services by ensuring that the needs of individual’s services are met and the necessary services and supports are provided
  • Act as a liaison between the program, supports coordinators, funders, family members, natural supports and other community members as needed

Required Experience

 5 years of experience in a human service agency, which included supervision of others and direct service.

Required Education

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in human services, business management or related field

Masters preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license; and acceptable driving record
  • Knowledge of and compliance with the PA 6400 Regulations and ODP Guidelines
  • Knowledge of the impact of trauma on the well-being of the individuals receiving services, as well as the impact on staff well-being.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form
  • Ability to support and implement RHD and ODP values and beliefs
  • Ability to engage clients and staff in effective, therapeutic and healthy interactions
  • Ability to utilize and navigate Microsoft programs and applications

Program Summary

Evergreen is a community-based program providing comprehensive residential and day services in staffed homes. The program was created to support adults with autism, dual diagnoses of intellectual disabilities and mental illness, developmental disorders, and other neurobiological disabilities, significant mental health issues, as well as medical complications. Emphasis is placed on developing communication skills, building social supports, enhancing daily living skills, supporting the community and social integration, providing trauma-based therapies, and mental health stabilization—with the goal of increased independence and participation within the community.
