Description/Job Summary

The Food Service Coordinator works to buy and prepare food for RHD's PIER Residential.  A Food Service Coordinator will help plan weekly meals, prepare and chop ingredients and will keep food preparation areas sanitized and orderly. 

The Food Service Coordinator will also maintain the confidentiality of the Individuals that reside in our programs while upholding the integrity of the RHD values as outlined in the policy and procedure manual.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Working to prepare food for PIER residents.
  • Helping to plan weekly meals and chop ingredients.
  • Shopping for groceries and stocking inventory.
  • Talking to residents about perfered foods and discuss healthy meal choices.
  • Setting up table or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
  • Recording meals served and monitoring foof temperatures.
  • Cleaning kitchen, dishes and equipment.
  • Attending food safety and other trainings as assigned by the Operations Director.

Required Experience

 A High School Diploma/GED, with 2 years of experience as a Food Service Coordinator, Dietary Aid or Cook, preferably in a human service agency and a valid driver’s license.

Program Summary

 The PIER (Pledge for Independence, Empowerment & Recovery) program is a new program located in Bucks County.  The eight bed co-ed Long Term Structured Residential (LTSR) serves individuals with mental and behavioral health disabilities.  Beds are alocated to Bucks County unless otherwise approved by Bucks County Behavioral Health (BCBH) and Bucks County Department of Mental Health/ Development Programs (MH/DP).
