Description/Job Summary

Position Summary
 
The Health and Human Services Intern will be responsible for supporting the general operations and quality service implementation for the program selected for. This opportunity has been developed to strengthen and encourage High School students with interest in the Health and Human Services field. Upon completion of the internship, interns will have actively utilized 21st Century Skills, broaden their knowledge of the Health and Human Services field and sharpened their hands on experience.
 
Essential Duties and Functions
  • Deliver high-quality customer service when answering phone inquiries, directing calls and providing basic company information
  • Perform high-quality organizational and time management skill through clerical duties such as note taking and file maintenance such as photocopy, fax, etc. as needed
  • Support client profile service request as needed and directed
  • Perform general program service request as directed
  • Assist in the setup, break down, and maintaining of conference rooms, training rooms, and meeting rooms for special events/functions as needed
  • Attend program-related functions as requested
  • Shadow as directed - program team members to sharpen quality skillset development
  • Update and post supervised social media and website content; respond to web correspondence, social media posts, and emails as requested
  • Perform ad hoc duties as requested; maximizing skill-set and shift focus development
 
Qualifications
  • Active Listener, detail-oriented writer with keen verbal communication skills
  • Youthful Open-Minded Professional who is driven, & results oriented
  • Creative and Energetic, and eager thinker ready to tackle new projects and ideas
  • Referred by High School Principal
  • Active Working Papers (applicants 17 and under)
  • Resident of Philadelphia
  • Must be 12 (or having completed the 5th grade) – 24 years’ old
  • Registered for Selective Services (males 18 years old or older only)
  • Technology savvy skills, including Windows and Apple Software and Programs
  • Authorized to work in the United States OR U.S. citizen or a TANF-eligible non-citizen
  • Must be able to travel to assigned worksites - SEPTA transpasses provided
