Description/Job Summary


RHD impACT Unit Director is responsible for overall oversight of theprogram and the services provided. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed. The Program Director will beresponsible for the coordination of services.  This is Unit Director of an Assertive Community Treatment Team.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Develop and implement systems to ensure that the program meets all requirements, based on RHD policies and procedures, the legal system, the RHD clinical model and theexpectations of funding and referral sources

  • Ensure thefinancial stability of the program by maintaining a strong understanding of thebudget and budget projections as well as the billing process and oversight ofthe collection of money for each clinical service

  • Assign cases to each of the Team Members

  • Provide supervision on a weekly basis, which will include: both clinical and administrative case reviews with the teams

  • Manage the overall personnel needs of the program by coordinating the recruiting, hiring,training and supervision of staff and assuring that all staff maintain necessary credentials

  • Communicate any office issues or concerns with the Regional Director immediately, includeothers (Budget Manager, Clinical Coordinator, Executive Vice President) in these discussions as appropriate

  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, funders, staff, clients and RHDpersonnel

  • Oversee the coordination of all initial assessments and evaluations

  • Assure compliance with both the treatment and behavior plans

  • Oversee the coordination of care with other delivery systems including, but not limited to:County Office of Behavioral Health, County Children & Youth, BH MCOs, PHMCOs, and the Justice system.


Required Experience

Experienc eworking with individuals with forensic issues; and,

Possess at leasttwo years of program management experience

Required Education

Master’s degreein social work, psychology or another human services related field

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with forensic issues; and,

    Possess at leasttwo years of program management experience

Program Summary

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is provided by an interdisciplinary team that

ensures service availability 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week and is prepared to carry

out a full range of treatment functions wherever and whenever needed. An individual is

referred to the ACT team service when it has been determined that his/her needs are so

pervasive and/or unpredictable that it is unlikely that they can be met effectively by other

combinations of available community services, or in circumstances where other levels of

outpatient care have not been successful to sustain stability in the community
