Description/Job Summary

 

The CPS Site Supervisor position holds the responsibility of thesupporting the health, safety, andgrowth of the individuals in the program; including integration into thecommunity, skill building, programmatic concerns, crisis management, medicationmanagement, consumer and petty cash funds. The Site Supervisor manages the day to day operation of the communitybased day program as well as ensuring the Direct Support Professionals receivethe supports and tools needed to provide quality programming. Responsibilities/Duties

  • Create anenvironment that empowers individuals (both consumers and Direct SupportProfessionals) through the development of skills and coordination of resourcesand supportive services

  • Advocate forconsumer and Direct Support Professional needs.

  • Maintainprofessional relationships with all GROWTH Team members, families, residentialproviders, family living providers, office personnel, SC’s, ancillary service providers

  • Ensure thephysical site is maintained per regulatory, and health and safety requirements.Report all maintenance needs immediately to the maintenance department and theDirector

  • Address allon-call issues and staff call-outs as per unit policies

  • Direct oversightof Direct Support Professionals medication administration including but notlimited to correct medication administration procedures, documentationprocedures, adequate supplies of currently prescribed medications forconsumers, trouble shooting with families and residential providers anymedication issues.

  • Conduct MARreviews, medication observations, and assist with medication administrationtraining

  • Ensure vehiclemaintenance including but not limited to up keep of yearly inspections, emergencyrepairs, cleanliness

  • Ensure pettycash is logged in and all money spent is documented per day program procedures

  • Develop a baseschedule and utilize it to create a weekly staff schedule in a timely manner

  • Write the dailyconsumer schedule and staff assignments, and ensure the program is meetingsupervision requirements

  • Maintainaccurate staff attendance records

  • Conduct on-siteorientation in a timely fashion

  • Conduct driversafety training via on-line program and conduct road test on new employees

  • Review Lawsonand complete initial approver responsibilities in a timely manner

  • Activelyparticipate with the Director andProgram Specialist regular supervisory meetings for Direct Service Providers

  • Assist theDirector in developing corrective action plans when breaches occur in unitpolicies or state regulations

  • Track the use ofgas cards, credit cards, and program vehicles. Ensure items are returned in atimely manner and document usage as required

  • Ensure allDirect Service Professionals document the consumer’s daily activities by theend of their shift. Documentation will include but not limited to just Servicenotes, seizure charts, MARs, incident reports, mileage logs etc

  • Alert theProgram Specialist to a potential incident so Program Specialist can make adecision if it is reportable on the EIM system

  • Address allstaff injuries as per RHD workman comp’s procedures and report all injuries tothe Director

  • Complete allmiscellaneous tasks as requested and assigned


Required Experience

One year supervisoryexperience in a human service setting

 

Three years’ experiencewith individuals with Autism/MH/ IDD is required


Required Education

Associates Degree, or aminimum of 60 credits in the human services field preferred but not required

 

High School Diploma orGED is required
