Creating the safest and healthiest environment possible for Program Ambassadors, employees and the community by maintaining a high level of cleanliness and sanitation within Haldeman~Grant’s two office spaces and Program Ambassadors apartments; reporting and completing general maintenance repairs, e.g., painting, patching holes, minor plumbing, now removal, other minor repair and maintenance activities; and completing and submitting monthly inspections, while traveling from one site to another with little to no supervision. The Environmental Technician will engage with Program ambassadors to provide sanitation education and teach minor repair and maintenance skills.
Responsible for general oversight and day-to-day basic maintenance of all facility-related issues, including: reporting and completing general maintenance repairs, e.g., Basic maintenance, plumbing, patch work, plastering, etc.
Responsible for the following cleaning of all H~G Ambassador’s apartments:
Cleaning of the floors- wet mopping weekly.
Stripping and waxing floors at least monthly.
Cleaning of the dining area weekly.
Cleaning of windows and window treatments weekly.
Ensuring that ceiling fans are dust/grease free weekly.
Maintain grease ducts to ensure that they are working properly, weekly.
Clean and maintain all smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Emptying all trash cans daily.
Washing out all trash cans weekly.
Ensuring that maintenance closets are clean and orderly.
Maintaining the outside area (s) daily.
Inventory and ordering of all maintenance supplies. (Submit maintenance/supply needs to Team Leads)
Maintaining all light fixtures- includes changing of bulbs, when necessary: as well as checking all bulbs weekly, ensuring that ALL lamps are plugged in daily.
Cleaning/sanitizing all restrooms daily, while ensuring that there is available toilet paper in restrooms.
Responsible for communication with Haldeman~Grant Team Leads and Program Manager concerning identified building maintenance issues weekly.
Responsible for working collaboratively with H~G Program Manager and RHD Property Manager when identifying maintenance contractors when needed.
Responsible for monthly inspections at each site (Haldeman and Grant), completing inspection forms, and submitting to RHD Corporate Office via email. Report all “RED FLAGS” to Program Manager. Create and maintain a maintenance binder containing all inspection forms and maintenance related communications in Haldeman~Grant Office.
All other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and Program Director.
Two years custodial, housekeeping, and/or maintenance experience working in hospital, nursing home, and /or residential setting.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent Communication skills (written and oral) including interpersonal skills
Demonstrate good problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrate skills using Microsoft Office software and database management, as well as using the Internet and Shared Services, as a resource.
Be 21 years of age or older
PA Driver’s License.
