This position will support individuals in the community who are working on their recovery from substance use disorders. Hours will be flexible, and designed around the needs of the individuals recieving the service.
The incumbent will work with individuals who are in early recovery, linking with services, supporting them in finding and accessing necessary treatment.
Lived experience with Recovery from Substance Use Disorders and a willingness to share their experiences to benefit others.
Minimum High school diploma/GED.
Current valid Pennsylvania Certification Board credentialing as a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS). Current and valid Driver's License.
The Certified Recovery Specialist program brings trained people with lived experience with their own Recovery into contact with individuals in early recovery who could benefit from support provided by people who had been "in their shoes." The goal of the program is to improve outcomes and to help the persons served meet their Recovery goals.
