Position Summary

  • The Nurse Manager supervises the RN’s working for the program as well as manages and oversees the medical aspects of the services that the program provides.
 
Essential Duties and Functions
                       

1.Medication and Health Management

  •     Ensure that physicals for residential clients are completed within 7 days of admission
  •    Ensure that any admission for detoxification is seen by the MD/Psychiatrist within 24 hours of admission.
  •    Ensure PIRs prescriptions are current and assist PIR in obtaining prescriptions as needed.
  •    Coordinate medications and PIR health needs with program MD/Psychiatrist
  • Medication and Health Management cont.
  •    Oversee use of eMAR/MARS system and ensure that medications are managed  correctly.
  •     Daily review of eMAR/MARS system to assure correctness.
  •     Conduct monthly inspections of medication storage
  •     Support health needs of PIR
  •     Assist PIRs in scheduling medical appointments and follow-up on medical recommendations.
  •   Collect and document collection of PIRs’ urine samples as assigned
  •   Ensure that all RHD, County, State, local and MCO policies and regulations are followed.

  1. Current licensure as RN
  2. 3 years’ experience with supervising nurses
    A.    Experience working in a detoxification setting preferred
    B.   Knowledge of and experience working with homelessness, addiction, residential facilities, mental illnesses recovery preferred
    C.    Experience with Criminal Justice population. preferred
    D.    Valid Driver’s license required
    E.    ACT 33/34 clearances
    F.   FBI clearance, as needed
  3.     All trainings required by licensure
