Description/Job Summary

United Peers of Resources for Human Development is a recovery center for people with MH/Co-Occurring disorders who want to enrich their lives through wellness workshops and educational groups and sessions. We are currently hiring for two locations.

1) 4200 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia PA 

2) Free Library of Philadelphia

Responsibilities/Duties

  • To participate fully as a member of the team in staff meetings, clinical meetings, linkage meetings,and treatment team meetings, offering relevant input and feedback and accepting such from the team.

  • Teach and role model self-advocacy

  • Complete any necessary program documentation, to include contact notes, incident reports, etc.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and problem solving skills

  • Demonstate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to navigate through the Internet.

  • Demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries.

  • Identifying library patrons who may benefit from housing, mental health, primary care, substance abuse & other supports through general outreach, observation, and/or referral by library staff;

  • Traveling to each assigned library on a regular basis to respond to the needs of the library, its staff, and patrons.

  • Working with the Social Worker to carry out services for the public and programmatic goals.

Required Experience

At least one year working with others in Mental Health Recovery (previous expereince receiving residential services preferred).

Required Education

High School diploma or equivalent.

Must have CPS Certification

Required Qualifications

  • Valid State ID (Driver’s License preferred)
