Description/Job Summary

Position Summary
The Lead Recovery Specialist is instrumental to insuring a safe, trauma informed and trans affirming environment for staff and members.  The Lead Recovery Specialist provides supervision for the direct service staff and oversees the day to day needs of the program. 
 
Essential Duties and Functions
 
Program
  • Oversee medication monitoring procedures, prescription procurement, and medication  documentation
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to all state and local regulations in preparations for all audits and inspections
  • Participate in Clinical/Admin Team meetings
 
Member Support
  • Assist members in securing all identity documentation
  • Assist members in obtaining all benefits for which they are eligible
  • Escort members to appointments and shopping as assigned by Director.
  • Assist members in scheduling medical appointments and follow-up on medical recommendations.
  • Assist members in conflict resolution.
  • Participate in program milieu and provide conflict resolution as needed
  • Actively support members in facilitating socialization and recreation activities
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Assure coverage/coordination for all Recovery Specialist shifts
  • Meeting regularly with Recovery Specialist staff to assure communication and coordination of services.
  • Meet with Director to discuss Recovery Specialist program
  • Responsible for training and supervision of Recovery Specialists
  • Support Director in administrative decisions concerning Recovery Specialist staff
 
Qualifications
  • Minimum of GED/High School Diploma, Associates Degree in human services related field preferred.
  • Two years of previous experience working with the transgender and gender non-conforming community, as well as comprehensive knowledge of how to provide trans affirming direct services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid Driver’s License required
 
Working conditions
 
This position will occasionally require evening, weekend, overnight, or on-call shifts.
