Rise Above, an outpatient substance use counseling program in King of Prussia is currently seeking an experienced Drug & Alcohol therapist to provide intake assessments, individual therapy, group psychotherapy, and psychoeducation groups to individuals with
substance abuse disorders. Individual sessions and group therapy will take place in an outpatient treatment program setting.
A Masters Degree in human services field required; licensure is preferred. Must have two or more years of counseling experience. Strong background in drug and alcohol setting required. Must be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate both written and

Facilitate psychotherapy groups
Facilitate individual psychotherapy sessions
Provide crisis intervention
Assist with aftercare planning and follow up
Facilitate specialty groups as assigned
Maintain accurate and up to date chart documentation
Prepare case presentations and treatment plans for assigned clients
Complete treatment progress notes in the Electronic Health Record
Complete discharge summaries
Communicate with external parties (probation, judicial, mental health providers) as necessary for client care.
Complete intake assessments
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Human Services
2 years’ experience working with adults recovering from Substance Use Disorders
Knowledge of PCPC and ASAM criteria required
Experience working with Criminal Justice System preferred
