Performs a variety of general maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal for residential and commercial sites in NEPA and provides safe, comfortable home and working environments for our consumers and employees.
Essential Duties and Functions
Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of:
Landscaping & Grounds keeping
Trim around trees and buildings, along curb and sidewalks
Trim bushes and prune trees and shrubs
Fall and Spring cleanup
Pick weeds from landscaped areas
Bike path maintenance
Trash & debris removal
Snow blowing, shoveling sidewalks and handicap ramps
Snow plowing parking lots
Spread salt/sand on sidewalks and parking lots
Ice scraping, as needed
Remove & install window air conditioners
Minor carpentry and painting
Painting (with roller/sprayer), varnish/stain doors or furniture
Door/frame repairs & installation
Install door levers
Install hydraulic pumps
Fixing safety hazards
Minor plumbing repairs, as allowed by local ordinance
Toilets (repair & replacement)

Shut off valves
Lighting water heaters & furnaces
Assess heating systems
Minor electrical, as allowed by local ordinance
Understand basic electrical principals
Competently and safely operate, service, and maintain equipment, vehicles, or tools. These may include, but are not limited to: riding mowers, push mowers, trucks, snow plows, chain saws, sod cutters, snow blowers, rakes, shovels, pruning shears, and minor
Work in a variety of weather conditions.
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends when required.
Must be able to work a rotating 7 day on call schedule.
Other duties as required.
Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver license and a clean driving record as determined by our insurance carrier.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in Maintenance or relevant trades.
Is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in general maintenance and repairs.
Must be able to pass a criminal background and motor vehicle check.
Must be able to give work direction and work well under pressure and deadline driven.
Must have good communication skills and be an effective listener.
Must be reliable, possess a positive attitude and can work independently.
Must have general maintenance tools with a reliable transportation to perform employment responsibilities.
Ability to carry and climb extension and step ladders.
Proficient in Microsoft® Outlook and internet.

Interaction with consumers who may have behavioral health issues/episodes.

Light: exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The use of arm and/or leg control requires force greater than sedentary, but worker still sits majority of time.
Medium: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
