Description/Job Summary

 NOVA II is a long term residential program serving adults who have significant medical concerns in addition to a serious mentalhealth diagnosis.The Program Manager assists the director in creating and maintaining a vibrant program in which all residents are safe, comfortable and able to work toward their goals



Responsibilities/Duties

1. Maintains respectful and trauma-infromed interactions with all residents and staff at all times

2. In director's ansence, provides leadership to program

3. Supervises direct support staff including:

  •  develops staff  schedule, takes call-outs and obtains coversage for direct support staff
  • orients new staff and assists with Lawson timesheet system and accessing RHD email accounts
  • assures that staff are implementing program effecively
  • documents supervision
  • assists with interviewing and hiring new staff
  • assists with annual evaluations of direct support staff

4. Oversees food shopping and works with cook an nurse to update shopping lists to reflect changing medical needs of program participants

5. Plans and oversees robust program, including resient outings, on-site activities and special events

6. With CPS, assists reidents to develop meaningful and attainable goal plans

7. With assistant program manager, assures that fire drills are conducted and documented monthly and that any issues with the fire drills are addressed

8. Oversees facility maintenance; works with landlords and property manager to assure buildings are sound and needed repairs made in  timely fashion

9. With director, serves as liaison with family members of residents

10. represents director at internal and external meetings as requested

11. Other job-related duties as assigned

Required Experience

Two years working with adults with significant mental health diagnoses; superivsory experience a plus

Required Education

BA preferred or documented continuous progress toward degree in human services field

Required Qualifications

a valid driver's license is required

ability to understand and function within a trauma-informed environment
