Description/Job Summary

NOVA II - Assistant Program Manager

NOVA II is a residential program serving adults with co-occurring significant mental health diagnoses and serious medical issues.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Assists director and program manager to implement and maintain policies and practices to assure a respectful, trauma-informed environment at all times
  2. Assists with food shopping, storage and distribution
  3. Assures that cigarettes and custodial funds are distributed as per program plan
  4. Maintains inventory of supplies, including household, office, nursing and program supplies; makes purchases as needed
  5. Assures that furniture and systems in resident apartments are maintained in good working condition and that residents have needed supplies and furnishings
  6. Assists residents with obtaining ID, health and other benefits
  7. With program manager, creates and oversees a vibrant program, including individualized and group activities, for residents
  8. As needed, assists residents with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene
  9. As requested by director, program manager or charge nurse, drives residents to appointments and outings
  10. As requested by director, program manager or charge nurse, accompanies residents on public transportation to appointments and outings
  11. Other job-related duties as assigned
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Ability to understand and function within a trauma-informed environment
  • Two years of experience working with individuals with mental health challenges
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, to circulate throughout the program, to walk up and down stairs, to stay awake throughout entire shift

Required Experience
