Description/Job Summary

The Lead Crisis Evaluator is an office-based position with light community based components.  The primary goal is to provide immediate response to mental health, substance abuse and DD emergencies via telephone and face-to-face interventions.  The LCE will supervise the Crisis Evaluators Day Team and provide staffing to the Day Team.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist with ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and will all program contracts
  • Perform monthly chart reviews:  ensure clinical charts are in compliance with regulations, CAFR and funding requirements
  • Provide staffing to Crisis Evaluators – Day Team
  • Perform supervision monitoring and ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner
  • Gather pertinent data from staff and supervisors and compose monthly agenda for RHD staff meetings
  • Document annual staff performance evaluations for a portion of Crisis Evaluators and Crisis Specialists
  • Assist in assessing strengths and needs of Mobile Crisis
  • Ensure quarterly PMMI meetings are scheduled
  • Provide supervision to interns
  • Provide crisis intervention to clients
  • Provide staff training
  • Documentation of all trainings
  • Other duties as assigned by Program Manager

Required Experience

  • 4+ years experience in providing direct mental health services

Required Education

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling

Required Qualifications

  • Fully licensed as a LCSW or LPC

Program Summary

Mobile Crisis Service provides 24-hour crisis intervention for Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The interventions are made over the phone or in person and are provided by crisis workers and psychiatrists. RHD administers Mobile Crisis Services on behalf of the Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority.
