Description/Job Summary

Position Summary
 
RHD Boston provides day, residential and community supports to adults with Developmental Disabilities, ASD and mental health issues..  The Staffing Coordinator works with directors to identify staffing needs, post available positions, interview, hire and onboard new staff (primarily focused on but not limited to Direct Support Professionals - DSPs).  The Staffing coordinator networks within the local communities to identify potential referral resources.  The Staffing Coordinator attends job fairs representing RHD Boston.
 
Essential Duties and Functions
  • Posts positions using a variety of resources
    • Balance Trak (online job posting and tracking software)
    • Local job boards
  • Attends job fairs with the intent of recruiting potential staff
  • Processes new hire paperwork and follows the progress of new DSPs through orientation steps
  • Collects feedback from managers on the performance of relief staff
  • Provides supervision to relief staff up until the point where they assume regular shifts
  • Maintains an up to date relief list to share with managers
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in a human service field preferred
  • Some experience with the services provided by group homes, day programs and/or support to individuals living independently in the community
  • Use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to interact with members of the public to recruit potential employees
  • Good organizational skills
Schedule/Salary Information
  • This is a part time position 20 hours per week with some variation week to week
  • $20 per hour
