Description/Job Summary

Position Summary
  The Staffing Coordinator works with directors to identify staffing needs, post available positions, interview, hire and onboard new staff (primarily focused on but not limited to Direct Support Professionals - DSPs).  The Staffing coordinator networks within the local communities to identify potential referral resources.  The Staffing Coordinator attends job fairs representing RHD Boston.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Posts positions using a variety of resources
    • Balance Trak (online job posting and tracking software)
    • Local job boards
  • Attends job fairs with the intent of recruiting potential staff
  • Processes new hire paperwork and follows the progress of new DSPs through orientation steps
  • Collects feedback from managers on the performance of relief staff
  • Maintains an up to date relief list to share with managers

Required Experience

  • Candidate should have some knowledge of the types of services provided in community, residential and day service settings.
  • Valid Driver's license

Required Education

Associates Degree or higher in a human service, human resources field preferred.

High School diploma required.

Required Qualifications

  • Use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team
  • Ability to interact with members of the public to recruit potential employees
  • Good organizational skills
