Description/Job Summary

The program Psychiatrist (full-time, part-time, on-call) will work with children, adolescents, and adults as needed for the strength of the program. The scope of the work includes performing Psychiatric evaluations, mental status reports and medication management. Will work collaboratively with the clinical team through participation inter- disciplinary rounds, case reviews and consultations.  

Minimal Travel to support other RHD programs (1-2x/month)

The Outpatient Center (Integrated Community Wellness Center) serves a high acuity demographic in a fast-paced environment. This is a collaborative and supportive behavioral health and mobile services program.

Qualifications
 
Pennsylvania State Licensed Psychiatrist Requirements: Licensed M.D., Board certified in child and/or adult psychiatry, experienced in community mental health and substance abuse.
 


Responsibilities/Duties

  
  • May perform tele-psychiatry as needed.
  • Perform psychiatric evaluations as needed.
  • Perform medication checks as needed.
  • Provide psychotherapy to clients as determined by Program Director.
  • Be available for consultations, support for emergencies.
  • Proficient in Electronic Health Records (Avatar preferably).
  • Participate in inter-disciplinary rounds, case conferences, RHD meetings, community events, as required by the Program Director or Divisional Director.
  • Prepare and complete all paperwork required for regulatory inspections, insurance authorizations and/or under LMCMS' policies. This paperwork includes: Progress Notes, Treatment Plan Sign off, Biopsychosocial, and Psychiatric evaluations.
  • Writing a Progress Note after each scheduled session in EHR system and putting the note in the chart for all individuals who complete appointment or miss appointments.
  • Reviewing and Updating Psychiatric Evaluations, Treatment Plans of clients, and any other legally required documentation etc. in accordance with state regulations.
  • Complete Metabolic screenings.
  • Supervision of Medicare individual cases and follow “Incident To” process.
  • Communication with other providers and other collateral contacts as needed.
  • Including documentation of such documentation review.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 5 years plus in an outpatient or inpatient setting
  • 5 years plus experience working with mental health and drug & alcohol population

  • Qualifications include: Medical Degree
  • Holds all accredited and mandated licenses and credentialing as stated
