Description/Job Summary

LPN will support the LMCMS team. The position is responsible for upholding RHD values, adheres to the standards of DDAP, OMHSAS, Magellan, Medicare, and any other funding or licensing bodies. Collaborate with leadership concerning program support, supervision, development, or any reporting that is sent to the funders. Attend or delegate attendance and represent RHD at meetings with funders, licensing agencies, and accreditation bodies as assigned.

Responsibilities/Duties

  1. Work collaboratively with the MAs to provide comprehensive physcial health care for all individuals.
  2. Manage patient flow in Outpatient setting in collaboration with the team.
  3. Provide physcial health services to patients of all ages, including: phone/walk-in triage,
  4. Education, counseling, family planning activities, coordinate appointments and referrals, assist in obtaining needed services and supplies.
  5. Manage prior authorization of prescriptions and treatments as well as assist with problems concerning medication refills that are not within the routine refill process established at LMCMS.
  6. Maintain laboratory standards and policies for designated level at facility.
  7. Assigns daily vital checks to be done.
  8. Oversees the recording of necessary medical documentation
  9. Maintains the assignment of MAs to other responsibilities that maintains a neat and orderly environment that meets OSHA standards.
  10. Assures that yearly competencies are done, as necessary.
  11. Participate in health education and promotion activities in collaboration with the Director, the Clinical Director and the Mobile Supervisor.
  12. Maintain HIPAA regulations via training and supervision of support personal and
  13. Maintenance of an overall environment that promotes and supports confidentiality.
  14. Attendance and participation in meetings, in-services, educational programs and other activities as deemed appropriate.
  15. Implement and maintain quality improvement activities related to Primary Care, in collaboration with the Director, QA Manager and the Clinical Supervisor.
  16. Maintain current LMCMS policies and guidelines.
  17. Maintain current LPN  license and required number of continuing education credits.
  18. Supervisory Responsibilities
  19. Supervise all Medical Assistants and/or Medical Receptionist, as assigned:including services, scheduled, responsibilities and work flow and collaborates with the team to assure communication regarding partnership with outside PCPs.
  20. Is responsible for supervision of the inventory of all medications, medical supplies, Family planning supplies, sample medications, education materials; contact/order  appropriate materials when needed in collaboration with the Director and Office Manager.
  21. Coordinate all training needs for Medical Assistants/Medical Receptionists in collaboration with the Clinicial Director
  22.  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience

At least 2 years’ experience as a LPN; experience in an outpatient practice setting preferred

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Current license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Program Summary

Lower Merion Counseling and Mobile Services provides community-based outpatient mental health therapy, psychiatric services, and mobile services to children, adolescents, adults, and families  LMCMS is currently an Integrated Community Wellness Center (ICWC) and in the first year of the CCBHC Expansion Grant through SAMHSA.
