The clinical manager provides clinical support and leadership to staff and participants.  Assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of progromatic systems and works with the Program Director and Program Manager to develop new strategies to ensure needs and best practices are incorporated into the program design.

Responsibilities/Duties

Completes all utilization management functions to ensure authorizations are obtained without any gaps in services

Manages referral process to include assessment of new consumers and submission of authorization requests which may include referrals to be admitted to other ACT teams within the ACT Program if needed.

Approves notes to ensure services are accurately documented for billing

Ensures that the team maintains a billable census in-line with budget projections

Provides direct services to supplement the ACT team as needed

Manages any incident protocols and reporting requirement


Required Experience

  • 1-3 years experience providing services to individuals with behavioral health challenges1 year experience in a supervisory role (3 years preferred)Experience with severe and persistent mental illness preferredExpertise in Microsoft office (including Word and Excel)Experience utilizing an electronic health record

Required Education

  • Master’s Degree in a Human Services field, including but not limited to: education, rehabilitation, counseling, or, social work
  • Must be actively licensed in the state of Louisiana to conduct social services independently with credentials such as: LCSW, LMHC, LAC or LPC

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to pass background check, Medicaid and Medicare exclusion checks, and hold an NPI / taxonomy
  • Must have access to personal vehicle for use on the job as necessary
  • Must maintain a current driver’s license

Program Summary

The ACT mobile team will provide treatment and support services to one hundred (100) persons per year. The persons served by the team will be individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues and their families.
