Description/Job Summary

Kailo is a residential program providing services to chronically mentally ill clients who have adjustment disorders.  Kailo is named for a Greek word meaning a place of healing. The goal of the program is to assist clients in adjusting to living in a community and to provide a caring and supportive environment, helping each to achieve his or her fullest human potential. Kailo is under the umbrella of RHD's Progressions Systems.

Kailo is seeking a Maintenance Worker.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of related experience
  • Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities/Duties


General Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for supporting residents and staff using RHD values,Unit Mission Statement and the Recovery Model

  • Responsible for adhering to RHD values, policy and procedures, and Kailo Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Responsible for following state and countyCRR regulations

  • Responsiblefor general oversight and day-to-day maintenance of all facility-relatedissues, including: completing general maintenance repairs

  • Responsiblefor communication with all Site owners/ Property Management concerning buildingmaintenance issues

  • Facilityliaison with RHD Property Manager regarding Kailo Sites

  • Responsiblefor identification of/contracting with/and supervision of appropriatemaintenance contractors as needed in conjunction with RHD Property Manager

  • Responsible for attending supervision, monthly staff meetings, and mandatory trainings
  • Operate agency vehicles in accordance with established policy and procedures


Required Experience

  • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Required Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)    and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
