KAILO is a Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRR) program located in West Philadelphia. It provides a home-like, non-institutional environment providing maximum opportunity to learn the skills necessary for more independent living. The program constantly
strives to empower participants to move to a less restrictive living arrangement.
We are looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist and support our residents on-call throughout the week.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years experience working with dual-diagnosis individuals with mental health needs.
The candidate must also possess a High School Diploma, (Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred), valid drivers license, and pass a state police criminal background check.
Computer knowledge (Microsoft Word) and the ability to navigate through the internet is also a must.
The Direct Support Professional is directly responsible for providing an atmosphere that empowers and encourages participants in their individual recovery journey. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for assessment, planning, creating, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of participants daily living in accordance with the Recovery Model
Participates in evaluating needs of individuals served, and confers with Case Manager to plan for continuing additional services.
Works in cooperation with other agencies in the service delivery system to ensure coordinated, continuous and effective services for the rehabilitation of the residents.
Responsible for attending monthly supervision, clinical meetings, staff meetings, and mandatory trainings
Assisting participants with development and utilization of individual WRAP plans
Responsible for providing coaching when necessary and appropriate
Responsible for providing crisis intervention as defined in RHD/Kailo Systems Policy and Procedures Manual
Responsible for monitoring participant medication according to Kailo Systems medication policies
Hourly rate is $12.30 per hour for Direct Support Professional employees.
