The RHD Iowa ACT mobile treatment support team will provide treatment and support services to individuals in their home and community. The persons served by the team will be individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues and their families.
The function of the ACT Team Leader is to oversee the daily clinical service delivery and program operations of the program. The Team Leader provides supervision to direct care staff and consults with other supervisors as needed. The Team Leader ensures the implementation and fidelity to the model by assuring that the team develops and implements best practice treatment modalities while assumes a rehabilitative approach to recovery. Works directly with the Regional Director to coordinate and evaluate the needs of the ACT team.
Supervise clinical service delivery
Provide on-call, after-hour support to clients as scheduled
Lead daily meetings to review all consumers
Supervise the provision of recovery counseling and individual treatment services to program consumers
Assist with hiring and training staff
Provide individual and/or group supervision. Assist with the completion of probation and annual evaluations
Promote and supervise the following staff approaches: Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Stages of Change techniques, recovery-based, consumer-centered treatment, harm reduction strategies
Provide clinical oversight for all chart documentation completed by team members
Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment that is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace
Provides oversight to programmatic and fiscal functions of this program
Organizes the program, i.e., structure, human resources, etc., in order to achieve objectives
3 years of related work experience
Supervisory experience preferred
A Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling, Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Licensure in the state of Iowa. LISW, LMHC
The ability to make ethical clinical decisions in demanding situation
The ability to interact professionally with clients, their families and other professionals
Organizational skills; ability to complete documentation timely and accurately
