Description/Job Summary

The Hope Springs program promotes consumer independence and personal growth by providing permanent residences in a supportive environment for individuals living with serious and persistent mental illness.  Hope Springs has an uncompromising commitmentto quality and integrity to help our consumers live happy and fulfillinglives.  

The CHALET (Community ofHope, Advocacy, Learning, Empowerment and Triumph) operates under the principles of Psychiatric Rehabilitation. Consumers are supported by Wellness Recovery Coaches and Certified Peer Specialists in order to establishself-determined goals, develop individualized treatment plans and build uponthe strengths of each individual.


  • Providesupervision, leadership and direction to staff.

  • Developmentand oversight of a staff training program.

  • Preparationand maintenance of the budget to have a fiscally sound program.

  • Clinicaldevelopment of the program.

  • Developand maintain community, governmental and regulatory resources and relationships. Establish positive and effective relationships with State and Localdepartments, funding agencies and community providers.

  • Assuranceof program compliance with all licensing, regulatory and/or contractualobligations.

  • Providing community outreach and education regarding the program to enhance the communityknowledge and appropriate use of the program.

  • Maintain On-Callresponsibilities as follows and attend bi-monthly meetings:

  • Answer all work relatedphone calls or provide a call back within 15 minutes to the site.

  • Provide staff withfeedback and guidance for questions and circumstances that may arise orconverse with Assistant Director or Program Director for direction whennecessary.

  • Covering of shifts if aworker calls off and coverage is not found by the beginning of the shift; it is expected that the on-call personnel will arrive for the start of this shift ifgiven sufficient time or within one hour.

  • Completion of any on-callpaperwork that is required: i.e. on-call phone log or HCSIS reports.

  • Attendsin-house and outside trainings appropriate to tasks and responsibilities.

  •  Provide administrative support to the ProgramDirector, including, but not limited to attendance of weekly management meetings, and representation of the program to internal RHD and externalstakeholders as an ambassador of Hope Springs.

  • Other duties as assignedby Assistant Regional Director.

Required Experience

  • Two(2) years of mental health experience

  • Two (2) year ofsupervisory experience

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’sDegree preferred; in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling or related field

  • Two(2) year of supervisory experience

  • ValidPA Driver’s License and reliable transportation

  • He/she must have theability and experience to make independent decisions.

Program Summary

Under the authority of theAssistant Regional Director, the Program Director assures that all operatingpolicies, procedures and regulations (PA Title Reg 5310) are followed for HopeSprings. In addition, the Program Director will provide psychiatricrehabilitation services to individuals living with serious and persistentmental illness at the Chalet. Assistant Director is responsible for theday-to-day operation of the program; supervision of staff; interaction ofconsumers, significant others and collateral resources; and assisting consumerswith their daily living needs. AssistantDirector has the authority to make final clinical and operational decisions.
