Description/Job Summary

The Team Lead oversees both clinical and administrative operations of the ICM team.    The individual will be able to accurately assess situations and be able to provide direction to the team on the appropriate responses in these situations.  Team lead must be able to coordinate care and clearly communicate with outside agencies in order to maintain effective relationships and enhance the care of the individuals served.  They should be knowledgeable in Word, Excel, Outlook and other operating systems and will be responsible for ensuring the staff utilizes the operating systems to complete documentation in accordance with standards

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Provides supervision to the team through group/individual meetings and trainings. 
  • Acts as a liaison with external organizations/agencies and coordinates incoming referrals.
  • Responsible for insuring that the team is in compliance with DSAMH Regulations and contractual obligations
  • Provides Unit Director with information required to complete monthly reports.
  • Conduct screening and assessment in accordance with the use of

           validated screening tools to screen and assess for depression, trauma,

           substance use, and risk and needs associated with criminal risk.

  • Develop recovery-oriented service plans and reviews in collaboration with

           the client, collaterals, and consented stakeholders such as significant

           others, criminal justice personnel, primary health care provider, care

           coordinator, and Health Home.

  • Coordinate care with ICM psychiatrists, nurse practitioner, and

           administrative staff. 

  • Demonstrate the ability to provide treatment that is recovery-oriented,

           supports evidence-based practice and can clearly establish the status of

           the client in treatment

  • Conduct individual, family, group therapy as clinically indicated.
  • Provide culturally competent services that are individualized to client

           needs and reflect the integration of race, ethnicity, culture, primary

           language, immigration status, developmental status, criminal justice

           status, sexuality, age, and gender.

  • Attend and actively participate in supervision and mandatory trainings,

           seminars and staff development activities.

  • Report to Supervisory and Executive Staff or other RHD Administration

            any issues which may have a negative impact on the reputation of the

 Agency, client and/or staff welfare or any corporate compliance issues.

  • Meet monthly required levels of treatment contacts
  • Provide 24-hour emergency and crisis intervention response on rotating, on-call basis
  • Any other duties as required by Unit Director

Required Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
  • Experience understanding various models and theories pertaining to treatment of serious mental illness and risk management
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare, community treatment, support

           services and resources

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse team and remain highly organized and self-motivated
  • Proficient in computers and fluency in Spanish preferred

Required Education

Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
