Description/Job Summary

COSP provides intensive community-based services to emotionally or developmentally challenged children and adolescents (from birth to age 21). Service needs and treatment recommendations are based on team decisions to ensure that all clinical, educational, and social issues are identified.

COSP seeks a Full and Part-time Behavioral Specialist Consultant to work with children and their families in a non-office setting.

Job Duties and Activities:
  • Design and direct the implementation of individualized behavioral treatment plans for children on the Autistic Spectrum and Non-Autistic children.
  • Analyze behavioral data in order to monitor treatment outcomes and assess the participant’s progress.
  • Provide consultation for parents, teachers, and other caregivers by conducting weekly site visits.
  • Conduct initial team meetings with all relevant team members.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Bachelor’s level support staff assigned to cases.
  • Complete progress notes for every encounter with a participant.
  • Maintain all participant documentation to be sent to funding agency for approval.
  • Attend weekly BSC clinical individual and group supervision.
  • Completion of mandatory in-service trainings.

Job Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a behavioral health-related discipline from an accredited University (including 12 credits of courses in Psychology)
  • ABA training
  • At least 2 years post-Master’s experience working with children, with at least 1 year experience using behavior analysis/modification technique
  • A minimum of 1 year prior experience working with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders is require
  • A candidate who is bilingual, i.e., Spanish, Mandarin, etc. is highly preferred
  • ABA-BSC with ability to provide services to a child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with a Behavior Specialist license is preferred. 
  • This position requires current Child Abuse, Criminal and FBI clearances to be valid within 90 days of hire.

Pay rate is $30.00-$32.00/hr
