Description/Job Summary

The mission of Resources for Human Development (RHD) is to provide caring, effective and innovative services that empower people of all abilities as they build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities.  RHD’s multi-faceted programs serve people with a variety of challenges that include intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, substance abuse and homelessness.

RHD CT provides residential community living arrangements (CLAs), day services, and individual habilitative supports to people who have developmental disabilities in the West and South regions in Connecticut. Currently RHD CT operates 10 CLAs, Continuous Residential Support programs and supports individuals who reside in apartments in the community. RHD CT operates two day programs, one in the Western region and one in the Southern region of the State.

RHD CT is looking to hire a Site Manager who will be committed to assisting individuals through daily living skills to allow for their full potential for independence.

The Site Manager role is in the North Branford area, with four individuals residing in the home. The consumers participate in vocational programming, community recreational activities and are supported in the home to obtain their highest level of independence through their activities of daily living (ADL).

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership that supports the agency’s mission
  • Fostering an environment that promotes consumer, family/guardian and employee satisfaction
  • Insuring compliance with CT DSS and RHD policies, procedures and practices
  • Development and monitoring of life and social skills curriculum
  • Development and review/reporting on consumer goals and attendance at consumer meetings
  • Recruitment - participating in job fairs and interviewing, as appropriate
  • Training and evaluation of staff
  • Review and ongoing monitoring of services provided to individuals served by the agency
  • Other duties as assigned

The minimum requirements for this position are:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • DDS med certification
  • A valid drivers license
  • 3 years experience providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities PLUS 
  • 1 year of supervisory experience in a related field is preferred
