Description/Job Summary

Seeking a competent, self- motivated individual to become part of a team dedicated to providing quality services to adults with developmental disabilities. 


Responsibilities/Duties

  • Oversight of daily operations of four residential programs. 
  • Provide direction, training, and hands on support in maintaining compliance with DDS standards. 
  • Ensure the development of effective consumer support plans, accurate LON's, teaching strategies and programs. 
  • Provide staffing supports and supervision; and ensure programs remain within budgets.
  • The Residential Director will oversee, support and work directly with the Site Managers in each of the residential programs.
  • This is a hands on position, which includes quality monitoring of program sites, consumer records and finances.   
  • Participate in Agency Wide On Call
  • Hours may vary with on call 24/7 responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • 5 year's experience in residential programming. Must have working knowledge of DDS regulations, program and consumer budgets, supervision of multiple programs and staff.

Required Education

  • A high school diploma with commensurable experience in a related field, a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License
  • DDS Med Certification
  • DDS Abuse and Neglect Investigator

Program Summary

RHD Connecticut provides residential community living arrangements, day services, and individual rehabilitative supports to people who have developmental disabilities in the West and South  regions in Connecticut. Currently RHD CT operates 10 CLAs, Continuous Residential Support programs and supports individuals who reside in apartments in the community. RHD CT operates two day programs, one in the Western region and one in the Southern region of the State.
