RHD Connecticut provides residential community living arrangements, day services, and individual habilitative supports to people who have developmental disabilities in the West and South regions in Connecticut. Currently, RHD CT operates nine CLAs, three Continuous
Residential Support programs and supports individuals who reside in apartments in the community. RHD CT operates two day programs, one in the Western region and one in the Southern region of the State.
The Fiscal Administrative Assistant I helps coordinate the workflow of the front office under the supervision of the State Director. The Fiscal Administrative Assistant I is a resource to office employees for general office support.
Essential Duties and Functions General Office Support
Provides front office coverage
Greets and directs visitors
Answers and triages phone calls
Sets up and maintains personnel files to assure compliance
Tracks, orders and distributes all necessary supplies for all programs.
Maintain contracts with outside vendors
Works collaboratively with Residential Directors in assuring that all staff maintain credentialing, documentation, and training for ongoing development
Completes tasks in support of maintaining the fiscal viability of the program
Completes payroll in conjunction with the State Director
Reviews incoming bills for accuracy, submit for timely payment
Reconciles credit card transactions
Completes tasks in support of managing the programs organizational functions
Participates in training as requested
Photocopies and/or scans documents as needed
Sorts and files documents
Restocks the fax/printer/copier
Transcribes individual and/or group data for programs as needed
Maintains electronic and paper records of inspections and maintenance completed in all agency programs
Track asset tagging of computers and office equipment
Supports the programs in upholding the Values of RHD through admin tasks
Other duties as assigned
High School diploma or GED
At least two years of related experience
Valid driver’s license
Displays a positive attitude and an ability to interact with others in a mature professional manner
Exhibits superior customer service skills
Able to follow and use written directions to complete tasks
Conducts oneself in a manner consistent with the values of RHD
Comfortable working with diverse populations
Communicates in a respectful, coherent and thorough manner, both orally and in writing
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff
Displays an ability and willingness to participate in supervision for the purpose of skill building and growth
Appropriately represents RHD while communicating with funder and other community members
Exercises discretion when receiving sensitive information about consumers or staff persons
The Fiscal Administrative Assistant I must be able to work in a busy open office environment dividing time between essential tasks and addressing inquiries of the many staff and clients who visit the office daily.
