All new employees hired between 9/14/2020 and12/31/2020 are eligible to recieve aSIGN-ON BONUS equivalent to a total of$500 (gross amount) forFULL-TIME staff and $300(gross amount) for PART-TIME/ON-CALL staff!!!

Resources for Human Development is seeking to hire Direct Support Professionals to work directly with individuals dually diagnosed with mental illness and developmental disabilities. 

Locations in North Hills, Allegheny Valley,  Harmarville, Plum, West Mifflin, Beaver Falls

    Starting salary range: $12.00/hr  (More in some locations).

    Full, part time and on-call (as needed) positions available.


    • DSP's are responsible for the support and enhancement of the quality of life of individuals served, by assisting in day-to-day activities that promote positive outcomes.
    • Duties include, but are not limited to, providing instruction, assistance and role modeling in life skill areas of leisure time, financial management, medication monitoring, crisis management, accessing community resources, community engagement, shopping and vocational development. Personal care is also needed at times.

    Required Experience

    • Prior experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors is desired.Prior experience/education in a social services field is preferred, but program specific training will be provided.Knowledge of the impact of trauma on the well-being of the individuals receiving services, as well as the impact on staff well-being preferred.


    Required Education

    HS/GED required at minimum.

    Required Qualifications

    Valid drivers license and ability to pass criminal background check required
