Description/Job Summary


The Program Specialist position holds theresponsibility of supporting health, safety, and growth of the individuals inthe program, including medical requirements, programmatic concerns, individualfinances incident reporting and adhering to the funder regulations. 

Responsibilities/Duties


  • Ensure that HIPPA regulations are complied withand that all paperwork and required documentation is completed in a timely,thorough, accurate manner as per regulations 

  • Ensure incident reports are complete, accurate andtimely with corrective action taken when necessary · Input all reportableincidents and follow-up into EIM 

  • Must be aware and knowledgeable of licenserequirements of the program, and service definitions for unlicensed home andcommunity rehab and respite services. 

  • Process of creating ISP’s and advocating forconsumers with input from program management. 

  • Maintain client files that include annualassessments and Individual Support Plans, as well as any supporting documentsas per applicable regulations 

  • Train direct care staff in the individual supportplans as well as mentor them in day-to-day implementation and documentation.

Required Experience

2 years of work experience working directly with persons with disabilities

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree froman accredited college or university. 

  • Master's Degree from anaccredited college or university in Special Education, desired.
