This position supports, maintains and evaluates computer networking and telecommunication systems; installs, configures and maintains/supports both physical and virtual servers; installs, configures and maintains routers, switches, firewalls and VPN clients. This position also performs Active Directory configurations related to group policies and resource security.
Provide support for infrastructure issues including virtual private networks, routed networks, enterprise backbone, storage area networks, and monitoring networks.
Provide administration for Active Directory users and groups along with implementation of security policies.
Ensure functionality and provide metric based reporting on servers and software deployments.
Develop and maintain the site server implementation process, deploying server technologies both to new and existing sites and programs throughout the enterprise.
Utilizing best practices, establish protocols for the support, implementation, and configuration of server and desktop technologies.
Work collaboratively with technical support services and assist with telephone and printer support as needed.
Work on special projects and other responsibilities as needed
3-5 years of related experience in the field.
Associate’s Degree in MIS/IT preferred.
Network +, Cisco, or Microsoft certification preferred.
A solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, LDAP, DFS, VMware administration, storage technologies, VoIP, and Office 365 and other related technologies.
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Strong understanding of technical troubleshooting methodology
Strong documentation and customer service skills, as well as a keen attention to detail are required.
Ability to take rotational on-call responsibilities that include nights, weekends, holidays, and maintenance windows outside of normal business hours.
Ability to work in a fast paced and open environment.
