As a member of the Executive Team, the Vice President of Business Development will lead the business development efforts of the organization. The Vice President of Business Development will work collaboratively with the Executive Team and other leadership to develop and implement strategy and ensure the achievement of strategic business development goals and successful implementation of related initiatives. The Vice President through the business development team will support expansion of existing business as well as developing new business. The Vice President of Business Development will also oversee fundraising activities and non-Governmental giving and support.
Leads, while partnering with the CEO and other Executive Team Members, the review and exploration of business strategy
Works closely with RHD Clinical Team to monitor, advance and promote innovative efforts in programs and promotes efforts externally; provides guidance on outcomes to ensure alignment with funder immediate and long-term requirements.
Leads the development and implementation of a Corporate Business Development Plan, including business development strategies such as Mergers and Acquisitions, Value-Based Contracting, Technical Assistance services and other collaborations, incorporating a short-term and long-term perspective.
Monitors market and industry data and trends and shares market and industry developments with Executive Team to propose business strategy and business development opportunities and inform business development decisions
Partners with other RHD leaders in exploring desirable opportunities of contracting, partnership, affiliations, and collaborative activity with other organizations including, but not limited to government entities, managed care organizations, universities, and other social service organizations
Establishes and maintains relationships with Government entities and Managed Care Organizations (MCO) in collaboration with other Executive Team members and business leaders
Oversees the management of government and MCO contracts including overseeing provider and site credentialing required by Medicaid, MCO, or other entities
Oversees the researching and monitoring of national RFP offerings and the process for proposal selection and proposal writing
Oversees implementation team responsible for start-up and establishment of new business; including program operations and budget management. Communicates regularly and effectively with relevant divisional staff to ensure smooth hand-off of new programs at appropriate time.
Oversees and supports fundraising and external marketing departments efforts
10-15 years of progressive experience in nonprofit human/social services developing strategies and business development plans
Experience with creating programs and services in a managed care environment
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a relevant field
Ability to travel to attend or participate in conferences, meet with potential funders, engage staff, and conduct business - Driver's License required
