Under the supervision of the Vice President of Business Developmet the Managed Care Contract Manager ensures consistent management of all Managed Care Organization (MCO) and Private insurance proposals and contracts. The responsibilities of the manager will include but are not limited to: new contracts, renewals, credentialing, and recredentialing processes for Managed Care Contracts and private insurance. This generally includes oversight of the contract management process, as well as development of specific standards for bidding and submission, contract negotiations and document management. The Manager’s role in the contract development process will require close collaboration with leadership and other stakeholders from our divisions, programs, and departments and will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a MCO contract repository.
Minimum of 5 years of prior work experience in a contract management role, such as purchasing, contracting, or government RFP contracting.
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management or related field preferred.
Proficiency in utilizing and interpreting financial models and analyses.
Experience in applying organizational standards when developing requests for proposals, negotiating terms and drafting contracts.
Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.
Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow.
Excellent negotiating and persuasive skills, both in one-on one and group situations.
